What is an Audio Library Message

Audio Library Message is an audio file created for use in various call management features e.g. Business Introduction announcement, IVR menu audio files, Voice To Email announcement, Whisper Call Alert etc..

Audio Message .mp3 File Specifications

Record your Audio Library Message in accordance with our .mp3 file specifications as follows:

  1. only in .mp3 audio file format. No other file format is supported.
  2. maximum of 5mb file size.
  3. in the file name, exclude the use of special characters like “dot”. “space” “hyphen” and “underscore”.
  4. long file names, including special characters like “dot”. “space” “hyphen” and “underscore” will be rejected.

PLEASE NOTE: all other file types and files over 5mb will be auto-rejected so to avoid potential disappointments please upload the correct file format.

There are various options to record your Audio Library Message as follows:

PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept raw smart phone recordings which will be rejected unless formated in .mp3 files format.

Apple iphone recordings are in .m4a format and not in .mp3 format. To convert iPhone m4a audio files to mp3 audio files, visit: https://support.apple.com/en-us/120493.

How To Use Telcowork's Speech To Text Tool

To create a new generic Text To Speech recoding using Telcoworks' Text To Speech tool, follow these simple steps:

TIP: always zoom your PC monitor to 100%

  • Step 1: open your Chrome, Bing, Fire Fox or Brave browser (we do not support Safari).
  • Step 2: login to the customer portal at: https://telcoworks.com.au/portal/#/login
  • Step 3: click "Overview" tab
  • Step 4: scroll down to find your service number
  • Step 5: click on your service number
  • Step 6: click on the light blue "Audio Library" tab
  • Step 7: click on the radio dial next to "Text To Speech"
  • Step 8: give your recording a name and then type your recording in the provided 'Message' field
  • Step 9: next, be sure to click the "create" button
  • Step 10: repeat the process for each additional recording
  • Step 11: close "Audio Library"
  • Once you have uploaded your recording, it will be listed in your audio messages library. Next, please play your Audio Library Message back to ensure that you are happy with it.

    How To Upload Your Audio Library Message

    To upload your new Audio Library Message, follow these simple steps:

    • Step 3: click "Overview" tab
    • Step 4: scroll down to find your service number
    • Step 5: click on your service number
    • Step 6: click on the light blue "Audio Library" tab
    • Step 7: type in the New Audio Message Name
    • Step 8: either upload Audio File from your device or create Text To Speech file
    • Step 9: next, be sure to click the "create" button
    • Step 10: close "Audio Library"
    • Step 11: insert New Audio Message into your designated Call Management feature e.g. Voice To Email, IVR etc.
    File Upload Fees and Charges:
    1. Self-uploaded audio files are free to upload through our customer portal at: https://telcoworks.com.au/portal/#/login
    2. Compliant .mp3 audio files emailed to us to upload through our portal on your behalf is $10 + GST per audio file paid in advance.
    3. Non-compliant audio files emailed to us to convert to compliant .mp3 audio files and to then upload through our portal on your behalf is $50 + GST per audio file paid in advance.

    How To Setup Voice To Email

    Step 1: Voice To Email Message Setup

    • Step 1: write out your message script.
    • Step 2: record your message - refer "How To Create An Audio Library Message" tutorial manual
    • Step 3: open your Chrome, Bing, Fire Fox or Brave brower (we do not support Safari)
    • Step 4: login to the customer portal at: https://telcoworks.com.au/portal/#/login
    • Step 5: click "Overview" tab
    • Step 6: scroll down to find your service number
    • Step 7: click on your service number
    • Step 8: look for " >>If not answered, overflow to"
    • Step 9: mouse over the word "none"
    • Step 10: look for " >>If not answered, overflow to"
    • Step 11: click on " >>If not answered, overflow to"
    • Step 12: click on "Voicemail Greeting"
    • Step 13: select your "Voicemail Greeting File"
    • Step 14: in "Mailbox Name" text box type in the name of your Voicemail greeting e.g. after hours
    • Step 15: in "Email Address 1" text box type your email address to receive the Voice To Email message

    How To Test Your Voice To Email Feature

    To test your new Voice2Email follow these simple steps:

    1. Call your 1300/1800 number.
    2. Listen to your Voice To Email greeting.
    3. Leave a test message.
    4. Open up your emails.
    5. Look for the test message audio file.
    6. Listen to the test message audio file.

    1. Q. How many voice messages will be saved in the email?
      A. A single voice message is attached to an email.
    2. Q. How many emails can I have to receive a voice message?
      A. Up to 5 email addresses.
    3. Q. How can we access a voice message in the email?
      A. Open the voice message attachment with your preferred sound software.
    4. Q. How can we save a voice message in the email?
      A. Click on the voice message attachment and save to your preferred downloads folder.
    5. Q. In terms of history, how far back can we access the stored voice messages?
      A. We currently don’t store voice messages but will be doing so in our next upgrade in about 3 months.
    6. Q. How long are the voice messages stored before they are deleted?
      A. We currently don’t store voice messages but will be doing so for 12 months in our next upgrade in about 3 months.
    7. Q. Is it possible for the IT to access the voice message through API?
      A. We currently don’t permit access through our API but will be looking at this build at some point if demand warrants.
